In the woods, we return to reason and faith. There I feel that nothing can befall me in life, - no disgrace, no calamity (leaving me my eyes), which nature cannot repair.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson - Nature: Addresses/Lectures

My art has always grounded itself in the natural world, a place I feel incredibly comfortable and safe. My fascination with the outside world started at a very young age, from climbing trees to planting flowers with my mother.

With my photography I focus in on little objects found while wandering the woods, blurring their surroundings and highlighting their unique qualities. I capture a moment before nature can change it.

With my sculpture I embrace this transience found in the natural world. Using natural materials that I collect myself, I create structures that continue to grow or decay. I showcase the beauty of interwoven materials and create contrast by adding a foreign man-made material. The possibilities found in nature are overwhelming to me and will always be my largest source of inspiration.
